| Bio: | ABOUT THIS JOURNAL This is the journal for the Fan Fiction Tumble Game. The FanFicTumble is a variation of the Round Robin, a story that circles from one writer to the next, each adding his/her own chapter. With the FanFicTumble however, there's not one story, but as many as there are participants. Everyone starts out with the same teaser, and every writer writes a part for each story. This is how it works.
Also, take a look at CAN ANYBODY PLAY? Yes, and no. - For starters, you will need an LJ-account so you can be friended in this journal and have access. - Also, this is a fan fiction writing game, so you'll need to be a moderately skilled writer to enjoy taking part. - Thirdly, taking part in the FanFicTumble requires commitment. The participants are dependent upon one another to get all Tumble stories completed. So before joining, please think carefully about the amount of time you will be able to spend on writing in the next couple of months. Then, enjoy your Tumble!! SOUNDS LIKE FUN! HOW DO I SIGN UP? At the moment, you can sign up for Round 1 that is set in the Lord Of The Rings-verse by commenting to this post. Before you sign up, please read the Rules for Round 1. Make sure you friend or track this journal to be informed about new posts. RATINGS For now, we have settled on G - R as acceptable. This may change for future rounds. DEADLINES The FanFicTumble has a progressive deadline. For the first couple of installments we will operate on a two-week deadline. As the Tumble progresses and writing becomes more challenging we will up the deadline to three or even four weeks. MINIMUM/MAXIMUM WORD COUNT There is no maximum on word count for installments. However, an installment should preferably be at least ± 600 words. PUBLISHING When taking part in the FanFicTumble you agree to have the stories, including your installments, published publicly in this journal. With the appropriate credit assigned to each author, of course. WHY A JOURNAL AND NOT A COMMUNITY? Simple. A personal journal offers customized friends lists, which communities don't. Using those list, the moderator can more easily assign stories to the participants. Also, it makes it impossible for participants to take a sneak peek at the progress of the other stories! I'm sure you're all quite capable to resist the temptation, but why risk it... :-) I HAVE A QUESTION THAT IS NOT ANSWERED HERE You can contact me through the e-mail address elsewhere on this page with your questions or suggestions. | |||||
